Ambiente 2024 strongly believes in the theme of sustainability, and this year it even includes a special program in which exhibitors can participate.
Special Interest Ethical Style is a platform exhibitors can sign up for which gives them the opportunity to showcase their ethically and sustainably produced products.
Ambiente 2024 responds to the demand for a greener world
In a world in which environmental consciousness is gaining traction, consumers are showing a growing concern for sustainability. The demand for eco-friendly products made with biodegradable or recyclable materials and socially responsible production processes is becoming more urgent.
This trend reflects a significant change in shopping habits, with consumers who are not only looking at quality and innovation, but also at the impact the product has on the planet. The companies which adopt sustainable practices are more and more in sync with the public’s expectations and contribute to creating a more eco-conscious future.
Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld have made a point of emphasizing sustainability alongside their exhibitors. The program “Special Interest Ethical Style” has been created to identify companies who embrace ecology and ethics in the production of consumer goods.
The “Ethical Style” label is a distinction and recognition which highlights the company’s commitment to responsible manufacturing. During 2023, 305 exhibitors at the three trade fairs acquired the label—a meaningful step towards a more sustainable and conscious commercial future.
The rules for participating in the Ethical Style program
The Special Interest Ethical Style bundles the various facets of sustainability into six categories, while an independent jury of international experts examines the companies and their products based on a number of key criteria. They then award the companies with a label that lasts for three years.
Here are the six categories:
- Environmentally friendly materials
- Resource-friendly manufacturing
- Fair & socially responsible production
- Re/Upcycling Design
- Handmade Manufacturing
- Sustainable Innovation
