This year Milan’s Salone del Mobile also hosted Euroluce, the event where it was possible to discover today’s best designer lamps. As we did with armchairs and sofas (check the selections out here), we went to the event and jotted down some notes for you.
Euroluce: new lamps and a new layout
As we already explained in our guide to the Salone, Euroluce’s exhibition pathway was designed this year with a ring-shaped layout designed by Lombardini22. In the four pavilions we walked along a fluid and optimized pathway, while the darkened spaces offered the perfect atmosphere for us to enjoy the poetry of the thousands of lamps on display.
The best designer lamps (according to us!)
We are not going to lie. It was really tough to choose the best designer lamps among thousands of high-quality products. However, we allowed ourselves to choose our favorites and put together a gallery to introduce you to the latest trends and, who knows, inspire you in your next purchases.
Our role is to think about residential projects and more decorative designer lamps, so we have left out many of the interesting and technological lighting-engineering products to concentrate on domestic spaces.
So, what makes these our favorite designer lamps? These products, whether large or small, are all able to give an extra touch of style to the space on their own. We are talking about all types of lamps:
- floor lamps
- table lamps
- pendant lamps and chandeliers
- wall and ceiling lamps
Whether it is a small table lamp to showcase on a console table, a classy floor lamp for a reading corner, a spectacular chandelier, lighting with sharp lines, or a genuine sculpture of light, the art of lighting the home also requires that we find a product which speaks to us and seems to have been made to live at our sides.
