Ceramic tiles which go back in time: Memoria by Marazzi

One of the most beautiful tiles introduced this year, Memoria by Marazzi Ceramiche includes two different surfaces in a collection which pays homage to ceramic craftsmanship. Let’s take a look at the brand-new, yet timeless, style of Memoria’s tiles and decorative patterns.

A line of the Crogiolo collection

Memoria by Marazzi is actually a part of a vaster collection which gets updated each year: Crogiolo. The various lines of these warm, small, and textural ceramic and porcelain tile lines are created from the coming together of artisanal knowhow and industrial technology.

However, these versatile products all have that handmade feeling. All of the lines have their own style and reproduce the look of artisanal tiles, including all of the imperfections of ceramic craftsmanship.

Thus, Memoria has become a part of the Crogiolo collection with its nostalgic look which blends the classic patterns of traditional ceramic tiles, especially classic Mediterranean ones.

Memoria by Marazzi, a double collection

Memoria-Crogiolo have been designed to exist side by side or independently. On the one hand, there are semi-matt solid color tiles in blue, white and black (also available in a three-dimensional surface). While on the other hand, there are the decorative subjects: five patterns in blue and white or black and white (this time available in a glossy surface).

The decorative subjects are what most reawaken the “Memoria” of the ceramic tradition which inspired the line. With the two-tone and semi-matte foundations, we are carried off on a journey which spans from Delft to Faenza, Moroccan and Portuguese ceramic, and the traditional tiles of Southern Italy.

Two surfaces and one format

Memoria by Marazzi Ceramiche is a collection designed to get the most out of two independent or combined surfaces. When bright carpets are paired with the opacity of the solid colors 3D structures, the contrast is irresistible.

In order to allow for the most in expressive and pairing freedom, Marazzi has proposed a single 15×15 format for Memoria—almost mosaic tiles which should be carefully laid to enhance the walls and floors.
