Bulbi by Ethimo, totemic vases

COVER: Ethimo, Bulbi vases– design Studiopepe

Modular, totemic, minimalist and striking, the new Bulbi vases introduced at Maison&Objet by Ethimo are a concentration of natural materials. They contain the power of concrete, but also have a delicate design that recalls elegant and contemporary archetypal shapes.

“The name refers to both their shape and the concept of nourishment, of growth and therefore of nature, in the purest sense of the term,” explained Studiopepe, which designed the collection. “The colors chosen evidence their almost primitive texture.”

Indeed, Bulbi goes for terracotta and gray concrete—two tonalities which immediately bring the earth to mind. The family is made up of six concrete vases in different forms and dimensions which can exist on their own or be overlaid to create unique compositions, and even go on to become practical outdoor side tables. Their surprising modularity, the Mediterranean mood of their warm and natural tones, and the material imperfections underlying their uniqueness are the strengths of this decorative and artisanal collection. They are the ideal accessories to give any outdoor space a bold and natural look.
