The style of Giovannetti Collezioni

With color, organic forms, thick cushioning, and an amusing design, the vibrant style of Giovannetti Collezioni never passes unnoticed. The proof lies in these three iconic products chosen by critics, celebrities, and museums: the Le Nuvole sofa, the Anemone armchair, and the Anfibio sofa bed.

Monet and Le Nuvole

Since its introduction in 2009, the Le Nuvole sofa was an immediate success. An amusing and original reinterpretation of Fifties and Sixties Pop design, this piece was especially appreciated in artistic circles. In fact, in 2010 an article about it came out in the magazine Class Arte written by the late Philippe D’Averio, the insightful and eclectic art critic.

D’Averio compared the nonconformity of Giovannetti Collezioni to the free spirit of a great artist like Claude Monet who, with works like the Water Lilies, revolutionized painting with his new way of looking at nature. Similarly, D’Averio says that the sofa designed by Sergio Gobbi was innovative and took risks in form (and, we’d add, without compromising on comfort).

Miley Cyrus and Anemone

Giovannetti Collezioni’s design is perfect for giving a touch of glamor to any space. Uncoincidentally, the Anemone armchair was chosen to furnish the Los Angeles home of Miley Cyrus, the queen of pop and provocative trendsetter.

Anemone, the tentacled sea creature who inspired the project’s enveloping form and bright colors, is an aesthetically striking sofa which is extremely comfortable.

The Anfibio sofa bed

The Anfibio sofa bed had the greatest cult success of all the Giovannetti Collezioni products. Winner of a Compasso D’Oro and adored since its debut, today it is part of the design collections of thirteen museums, including the MoMa in New York, which selected it way back in 1972.

Its brilliance lies in its ability to be both a sofa and bed without bulky structures and with just a steel frame and non-deformable polyurethane cushioning. It is an informal and youthful sofa and a bed which looks like a large nest: an “amphibious” and shape-shifting piece of furniture.
