Peach Fuzz 13-1023: between pink and orange
Technically, the new colour lies on the colour scale somewhere between pink and orange and can be defined as a delicate peach colour. Peach Fuzz speaks the language of softness and delicacy: a ‘fluffy’, gentle but also elegant and warm colour shade with a poetic and romantic soul. This warm and crisp peach shade has a veiled vintage allure that evokes the past, but with a fresh and modern look.
We wanted to choose a colour that could focus on the importance of community and connecting with others. The colour we chose as Pantone Colour of the Year 2024 had to express our desire for closeness with loved ones and the joy we feel when we truly live the way we want and are able to take a moment of peace for ourselves. Last year we presented colour 2023: Viva Magenta, an exuberant and playful shade. The new colour, on the other hand, interprets the present moment, conditioned by dramatic events on the one hand and an increasingly frenetic pace of life on the other.
Peach Fuzz wants to convey to us, with its delicate, enveloping tone, a gentle, empathic force full of compassion towards others, but at the same time it wants to instil in us the desire to take care of ourselves.
