Casalgrande Padana designs wellbeing

The goal of Casalgrande Padana, the company specialized in ceramic surfaces and coatings, is to offer a complete overview of architecture and respond to the latest requirements of contemporary home design. Their latest releases will be introduced at the Salone del Mobile 2022 at the S.Project, where the focus will be on architectural design. The company is aiming for a more sensitive, holistic and sustainable vision of contemporary home design. Eco-compatible and sustainable materials, technical innovation and energy savings are at the heart of their products which, thanks to innovative manufacturing processes, combine the look and performance of porcelain stoneware with respect for the environment. This results in spaces which are not only beautiful and functional, but also healthy as they are easily sanitized and go without harmful substances. In short, they are completely sustainable.

Casalgrande Padana’s guaranteed and certified ceramic tiles are made up exclusively of natural raw materials which are hypoallergenic, completely recyclable, inert, fire-resistant and do not contain plastic or harmful substances. Plus, they are made with a closed-cycle manufacturing process which allows them to completely recycle and recover all of the components with almost zero emissions and dispersions (0% dangerous emissions, 100% reduction in water impact, 99.5% waste recovery, 74% self-produced energy and 100% eco-compatible packaging).

It is a state-of-the-art production process with plenty of certifications: LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), ISO 14001, a Code of Ethics that governs and regulates the environmental policies of its production cycle, and finally an environmental management system compliant with the EMAS Regulation.

The keyword for the Salone del Mobile releases is wellbeing. One of the brand’s most exciting proposals is the Bios Antibacterial®, the exclusive silver-based treatment which is capable of eliminating 99% of the bacteria on ceramic surfaces. Permanently incorporated into the porcelain stoneware tiles, it uses silver-ion technology which blocks the metabolism of bacteria, molds, fungi and yeasts, completely and constantly eliminating them without using UV rays or losing effectiveness over time.

However, from a design point of view, Casalgrande Padana has introduced the dry interlocking laying system for easy, refined and high-performing laying. Genuine “smart” flooring, it is even capable of working with home automation systems.

With a dry interlocking laying system, it is possible to integrate sensors and command modules underneath the surface, allowing one to adjust the lighting and air conditioning. It works by simply using a glue-less “male-female” attachment system which is stable and can immediately be walked on.

Finally, for the outdoor area, Casalgrande Padana has created Extragres 2.0, an extensive range of concrete-effect colors in the Amazzonia, Chalon, Country Wood, Manhattan, Pietra Baugè, Pietre di Sardegna and Kerblock collections, as well as the new collections Nature, Metropolis, Petra and Le Ville. Highly resistant, with a thickness of 20 mm and an anti-slip surface, these outdoor tiles are high-performing and can be either laid on screed using glue or dry-laid on gravel, sand or turf. Plus, they can even be used to create raised floors using polypropylene supports to hide electrical or plumbing systems.

Meanwhile, there is no lack of collections which focus more on color, like Atelier and Brickworks Nuances. Plus, joining them, there is the brand-new City Collection of tiles and the Metropolis collection with its spectacular concrete-effect look.

And, last but not least, there is also the brand-new (A) Levante and Voyage porcelain stoneware coatings for aluminum tables which was made in partnership with My Your and designed by Alfonso Femia/AF*Design.

As can be seen, Casalgrande Padana has once again provided sophisticated design which is entirely dedicated to our wellbeing.
