Firma London, Mid-century vintage design in Berlin

Berlin, Charlottenburg, Bleibtreustrasse (which translates literally as road stays faithful). In the tiny road between the glittering Kurfürstendamm and the more toned-down Kantstrasse, there is a small gallery specialized in Mid-century interior design; namely, all that goes from the fifties to the beginning of the nineties. An exclusive furniture selection, home accessories and dramatic chandeliers, mainly by Italian designers, have helped Firma London become an international port of call for vintage design.

Firma London was established in 2008 and owes its name to the past of its owners: a German couple who lived in London for over twenty years, becoming a key feature on the fashion and art publishing scenes. However, it was the thrilling international vibe, which broke out after the fall of the Berlin wall, to convince our couple to return. They used all their knowledge and passion for Mid-century design to achieve their dream.

In their gallery space, Sandra and Florian display chairs, armchairs, tables, kitchen dressers and shelving; almost all the pieces you need for your living room. Besides furniture, you can also find all the key pieces for a true vintage style: vases, mirrors and a variety of different lamps, which go from the fifties to thirty years ago.

Sandra and Florian source their pieces from auction houses and small galleries around the world. They even had to find a warehouse close by to stock all of their “treasures”. This space, four times as big as their gallery, was converted into an amazing showroom, which you can visit by appointment.
