Ethimo has opened the doors to its new home in Milan. In via Cavallotti 8, in the Design District in via Durini, this brand specialized in outdoor designer furniture has inaugurated its new flagship store, joining its historic showroom in corso Magenta.
With over 500 sqm spread out over two floors of a prestigious residence, it presents us with countless ways of living outdoors. As always, the star of the show is nature, which Ethimo interprets and furnishes with charm and functionality. The heart of the new store is the indoor courtyard which presents itself as a spectacular, exotic oasis in the heart of Milan. It is an immersive space where you can remove yourself from the city and enjoy, as if in front of a stage, the art of living by Ethimo. The new location uses storytelling to recount Ethimo’s relationship to beauty. Its aesthetic values based on comfort and conviviality are revealed in the architecture of the rooms and the collections on display, from the most iconic proposals to the latest trends of 2021 and the previews of 2022. For example, there is the Sling Chair, seating with a holiday feel designed by Studiopepe, and also Rotin, the lounge collection designed by Studio Zanellato/Bortotto.
While the finishes and colors (selected in collaboration with Studiopepe) reflect the brand’s unmistakable Mediterranean look, the natural light that filters through the large glass windows and refined details of the vegetation create an atmosphere with an enveloping sense of continuity which accompanies us leisurely and elegantly through the various displays.
Lastly, there is a complete material library dedicated to designing, where one can create custom material boards and get inspired through countless combinations. All of this takes place while one is surrounded by the beauty of the materials in the showroom and the evocative and emotional aesthetics of the seating, tables, daybeds and furniture which are ready for a season spent outdoors.
