From September 22nd to 26th, BolognaFiere will host Cersaie 2025, the international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishing which every year draws the attention of architects, designers, and industry experts.
The event features a revamped layout, new cultural content, and an expanded program, including immersive experiences, thematic areas, and initiatives dedicated to the general public.

The theme of the 2025 edition, “A space for architectural design”, highlights the synergy of aesthetics, technology, and quality in home design. With a program designed to spark ideas, solutions, and materials for contemporary living, this year’s fair is meant to be explored and experienced inside and out.
Cersaie’s new layout
Cersaie 2025 features a new exhibition layout that enhances the visitor experience and highlights emerging categories. Hall 19 will be entirely dedicated to installation, featuring live demonstrations and technical workshops.
Halls 31 and 32 will showcase non-ceramic materials and new bathroom and wellness solutions. The strategic organization of the entrances—especially the Costituzione entrance—will enhance the visitor experience, creating a seamless flow between the exhibits, events, and services.

“I Portici di Cersaie”
Designed by Dario Curatolo, the installation “I Portici di Cersaie” will welcome visitors at the fair’s entrance. This immersive journey uses images and architectural lighting to trace the material’s transformation—from raw clay to finished product.
Textures, porosity, shine, and colors take center stage in a visual narrative that conveys the true identity of ceramic. This evocative introduction foreshadows the material and chromatic trends awaiting visitors at the stands.
Fine dining at Cersaie
At Cersaie 2025, food will become an integral part of the fair experience, and not just a simple interlude. The 33 dining options at BolognaFiere—including 5 full-service restaurants—offer a rich culinary variety: from traditional local dishes to contemporary reinterpretations, from gourmet street food to lounge bars.

Some of the special guests include Alberto Bettini, chef at Amerigo (one Michelin star), whose menu highlights local ingredients while staying true to tradition.
The event will also welcome Massimiliano Poggi, a leading voice of contemporary Emilian cuisine, who reinterprets traditional flavors with a splash of creativity and deep respect for local roots. His dishes represent today’s Emilia, elegantly balancing memory and innovation.
The Design Lounge: the Press Cafés are back
The Press Cafés return as a space for dialogue between 18 leading Italian architecture and design publications and key voices in contemporary design. An informal yet content-rich format where ceramics, furniture, wellness, and urban planning are explored through direct conversations between editors and designers.
Talks take place in person at Mall 29/30 and are streamed on official channels, creating a cultural bridge between professionals, readers, and design enthusiasts.

Bologna, a crossroads of design: Cersaie meets BOLD
Running alongside Cersaie, BOLD – BOLD – Bologna Design Week brings the city to life with a widespread program of installations, exhibitions, talks, and performances.

This cultural initiative transforms Bologna into a true design laboratory. The overlap with the trade fair reinforces a shared vision: the city becomes a creative crossroads where design moves beyond the exhibition halls and blends into urban life, enriching the cultural and professional experience of all visitors.
