The International Ceramic Tile and Bathroom furnishings exhibition, aka Cersaie, is about to kick off its 41st edition. From September 23rd to 27th, BolognaFiere will be the center of the design world as it hosts industry leaders from around the globe.
Design and architecture professionals will converge on Cersaie to take an early look at the latest trends and innovative solutions in tiles, bathroom furnishings, and architectural finishes.

This year’s edition will be centered on the theme of architectural space, which will be examined in its every facet—from private dwellings to public spaces and the contract sector.
The new Hall 18 and “The Square”
One of the most anticipated additions to this year’s exhibitions is the reopening of Hall 18, which will host ceramic tile manufacturers. Inside, it will feature a new high-quality refreshment area, providing a culinary experience which is worthy of the prestige of the event.
“The Square” is another new feature of this year’s exhibition. Designed by the architect Dario Curatolo, this 1,000 square-meter square located in the Services Center will act as the exhibition’s central hub, encouraging meetings and an exchange of ideas.

A lecture with the 2024 Premio Pritzker winner
In what is surely what is one of the most anticipated events of the exhibition, Riken Yamamoto, the Japanese architect and 2024 Premio Pritzker winner, will deliver a keynote lecture on September 26th in the Europa room of Palazzo dei Congressi—a can’t-miss event for all fans of architecture and design.

Route 40: a virtual trip through the history of Cersaie
On the occasion of Cersaie’s fortieth anniversary, last year’s edition featured a fascinating journey through the past which illustrated the cultural and technological evolutions of the past four decades. Route 40 showed how Cersaie has always been a leader in innovation, showcasing products and projects which have influenced the market and design.
This year the exhibit has moved into the virtual world. Route 40 has become an immersive experience which allows visitors to explore the installation through 360° visuals, offering a new way to experience the exhibit.

Press Cafés
Now in its ninth edition, “Press Cafés” are back and will be located in Mall 29/30 with 18 events throughout the exhibition. Created in collaboration with the most important Italian publishing houses, the initiative offers a space for discussions about the most important themes related to ceramic tiles, bathroom furnishings, design, architecture, and urban planning.
The publications involved include AD Architectural Digest, Domus, Elle Decor Italia, Interni, and many others. Last year’s successful format will once again be used: 45 minutes of informal conversations between editors and sector leaders. The meetings will also be streamed on the Cersaie and the publications’ websites

Cersaie “Design Your Home”
Cersaie will also offer a can’t-miss opportunity for those who are planning a home renovation. The 12th edition of “Cersaie Designs Your Home” will be available on two days: Thursday, September 26th and Friday, September 27th at Mall 29/30.
