Every year, Ambiente charts the landscape to understand and anticipate the changes in the way we live, consume, and design. One of the most highly anticipated areas of the fair is Trends26+. The curatorial and inspirational core of the event, it is a space dedicated to furniture professionals, international brands, and designers in search of ideas.

Curated by the studio stilbüro bora.herke.palmisano, the 2026 selection introduces three new worlds that interpret emerging lifestyles and contemporary sensibilities: Brave, Light, and Solid.
Trends26+: a compass for designers
Staged in the foyer of Hall 4.1, the Trends26+ area is more than a simple exposition: it is an observatory of the present moment designed to provide tangible tools for buyers, retailers, interior designers, and contract specialists. Curated to showcase trends and inspire solutions, the selected products powering the moodboards become narrative elements.
The three transversal concepts—Dreams, Facts, and Stories—within the three visions enrich our understanding of today’s trends, suggesting interpretations that range from the imagination to functionality and the conscious composition of spaces.
Three visions for contemporary living
Brave, Light, and Solid are three aesthetic and material worlds that translate the desires and needs of today’s contemporary living. From bold expression to ethereal levity and sustainable solidity, these trends guide those who furnish, design, and craft interiors.
These worlds propose their own materials, color palettes, surfaces, and atmospheres, offering tangible inspiration aligned with the transformations shaping global interior design. They don’t dictate the rules; they offer visions for brave, light, and solid living.
Brave: audacious expressivity meets a material mix

Brave is the trend that breaks the mold, offering new connections between craftsmanship and technology, between saturated colors and fluid forms. The spaces shaped by this vision are vibrant, multisensory, and bold. Here, we find contrasting materials, unexpected surfaces, striking objects, and audacious accents.
This aesthetic is conceived for those seeking a strong identity, theatrical atmospheres, and solutions capable of reflecting personality and experimentation. It is an invitation to uncompromising exploration, juxtaposing the past and future through narrative, playful, and intense objects. Bright colors, glossy finishes, and broken or exaggerated geometries make up a whole that celebrates the creative energy and uniqueness of contemporary living.
Light: visual levity and suspended harmony

Light is the response to our need for balance and tranquility. Its spaces are airy, transparent, and nearly ethereal. Layered fabrics, satined glass, and matte or floating surfaces define these silent, luminous environments. The palette favors pastel tones, enveloping whites, delicate beiges, and pearlescent accents.
Lightness here is not only visual, but emotional: the objects seem to whisper, discreetly accompanying our everyday rituals. The aesthetic is reduced to the essential, yet never feels cold. Light is designed for those seeking spaces that foster introspection, well-being, and mental ease, perfectly balancing function and sensibility.
Solid: durability, functionality, and comfort

Solid translates the desire to inhabit a robust, welcoming, and sustainable home. The spaces inspired by this trend are structured, stable, and cohesive. Modular furniture, multifunctional décor, and natural or recycled materials (such as wood, metal, stone, and regenerated fabrics) shape a tangible aesthetic founded on durability and formal consistency.
With clean lines, warm colors, textured surfaces, and functional details, it doesn’t forego elegance, but pursues a beauty that lasts. Solid is crafted for those who design spaces to be experienced with continuity, adaptability, and consciousness: a response to volatile times through objects conceived to accompany rather than amaze.
