Unopiù was established in 1978 in Soriano nel Cimino, at the feet of a tiny medieval village that grew around an imposing castle, built in the 13th century on top of a hill. Generally speaking, we are halfway between Rome and Perugia, in an area that for centuries was intrinsically linked to gardening culture.
Forty years ago, the area’s natural beauty inspired Unopiù to start making garden furniture with the same attention to detail as it was the standard for indoor furniture. At Unopiù, the outdoors are an integral part of the home, to be enjoyed in both taste and style. There’s one fundamental truth: the most pleasant and relaxing moments are those we enjoy outdoors, on the terrace, under the porch, in the garden or even better by the poolside.
Thanks to the importance it places on quality craftsmanship and materials, attention to detail and technological innovation that consequently results in extremely durable pieces, Unopiù has gone from being a small handmade business to a leading brand in the field of outdoor furniture. The firm’s initial success is in part due to an elegant and well-presented mail order catalogue. The catalogue was distributed to every home, soon it marked a fixed date with the beginning of spring for the people who had a garden or even just a tiny balcony.
In time, a commercial network of single-brand stores was formed, as a well as an online shopping feature on the company’s website, but the famous catalogue is here to say and is more beautiful than ever. To mark its fortieth birthday, the catalogue is now available in an exciting, new graphic design with new products to discover and the icons that have played a crucial role in the history of this celebrated brand.
