To celebrate its 45th anniversary, Alias has released the Frame Chair limited edition, an exclusive re-edition of the iconic project by Alberto Meda. Produced in just 79 numbered pieces, this special version unites aesthetics to innovation with its refined materials and special features.

The Frame collection: minimalism and innovation
The Alias Frame Chair was created in 1991 as part of the wider Frame collection, a project which revolutionized chair design thanks to the use of extruded aluminum. The series includes variants such as Highframe, Bigframe and Frame Stool, all of which feature a light structure and versatility, being perfectly fit for both the indoors and outdoors.

“Technology and new materials are a great store of creative suggestions, if you look at them with an interpretative capacity that goes beyond their technical potential. A paradox: the more complex a technology is, the better suited it turns out to be to produce simple objects for everyday use, with a straightforward, almost “organic” image.” Alberto Meda.
The Frame Chair Limited Edition: fine materials and special features
The new version includes a glossy-black lacquered aluminum structure which confers the chair with timeless elegance, while the bamboo seat introduces a natural element which imbues it with sustainability. A one-of-a-kind collector’s piece, every piece is numbered and comes with a laser-engraved aluminum plate with Alberto Meda’s signature.
