The Suite: Marazzi’s floor-to-ceiling project with large slabs

At the 62nd edition of the Milano Salone del Mobile, Marazzi wowed visitors with an extraordinary installation designed by the Il Magma studio: The Suite. This mise en scène demonstrated how large slabs from The Top collection can create a harmoniously matching space with a striking, floor-to-ceiling look.

The Suite is Marazzi’s interpretation of a 200-m2, high-end urban hotel suite with a sophisticated interior design. The various areas of this room merge with one another in an elegant interplay of indoor perspectives and furniture which divide the space with a light touch.

A functional and harmonious open space

Marazzi’s project highlights the versatility of large slabs, eliminating the traditional sequence of rooms in favor of an open space which includes the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. These spaces fluidly blend in with one another, creating a visual and functional continuum thanks to the use of materials. Let’s go on a promenade architecturale and take a closer look at the slabs used in the various areas of the space with their incredible marble-effect looks.

The Stone Look Travertino background slabs

The Stone Look Travertino Classico slabs dominate the neutral background of the space thanks to the 3D Ink technology which uniquely matches material, color, and texture. These surfaces are embellished by other types of marble in shades of beige and dark gray throughout the space, creating a harmonious and cohesive atmosphere.

The living and sleeping areas

The Stone Look Silver Root and Breccia Imperiale surfaces are used to decorate the large walls and décor, as on the storage systems in the living room. The bedroom features a multicolored relief boiserie behind the bed and is separated from a business area with a Marble Look Patagonia table with distinctive toffee-colored veining.

A bookcase with a total-black, concrete-effect finish acts as a divider with a recess equipped as a snack corner behind the table, whose use is made even safer thanks to The Top Puro Marazzi Antibacterial—a technology which eliminates up to 99% of bacteria on surfaces.

The cornerstone of wellbeing: the bathroom

The bathroom is the cornerstone of the project and provides wellbeing thanks to its stylized details and wealth of accessories. Preceded by a cylindrical volume finished with small-sized tiles from the Marazzi Crogiolo Artcraft collection, this space features an element which breaks up the monumental nature of the marble and stone-effect slabs, adding a touch of craftsmanship to the overall design.
